Hollyhock's Herders: An OSR Ranching Supplement

While there are dozens of agricultural supplements for larger roleplaying games of all sorts, relatively few exist in the OSR space of games. This project is meant to bridge game concepts with monster ranching in an approachable and mathematically simple manner. The edited prototype here is completely free, and any creative feedback will always be welcomed!

This reminds me of an OSR Stardew Valley.
I hope you take the time to really flesh it out and maybe add some non-licensed pictures of animals or homesteads to really sell the vibe.
My favorite section is the To Work the Land section. It seems like it would really give players a goal to work toward.
Also note, a quick glance revealed a small mistake on page 7, To Grow the Herd. Change the 2D6 to a 1D12, since it's impossible to roll a 1 on a 2D6.
Thank you so much for the review and feedback! You are completely right about page seven, and an appropriate dice numeric will be added in the 1.1 addendums. Stardew Valley and Rune Factory were huge inspirations for this project, so I am glad there was a notable reminder there! If you haven’t looked at Five Torches Deep’s supplement for Homesteads, it’s another wonderful stylized system for this sort of play. Happy gaming!
